If I remember correctly as she said that quote she also said, in the same breath, that he had paid for all the children's educations and was grateful for that and the lifestyle he gave them. And she obviously loved the man very much. I do not doubt, despite his shortcomings, that he loved them.
I hate it when things are taken out of context.

Yes, I keep meaning to see what's happening here but I get caught up with other things. I haven't lost the faith---I saw the boys in April in Buffalo which is around the last time I visited here. I do lurk and occasionally stream shows but I haven't felt like contributing much. I am writing about music in general for a Group on facebook. The variety and breadth of styles and genres and eras captivated me---but I have mentioned the Dead several times. The founder of the Group even selected "Morning Dew" as a song choice early on. What I like about the Group is its civility and mutual respect for other people's taste in music---sometime things on this site got a little too heated and downright nasty. I don't need that kind of climate in my virtual world when I can get it in my real one. And I noted that it drove away some of the regulars from this site and that truly saddened me. But I'll be around. I'm going to be checking in more often and if something crops up like it did this time (Annabella quoted out of context!), I'll weigh in.
I did purchase the Egypt album as well as that recent Terrapin '77 release. Thinking seriously about the Winterland box even though I have some of it already. Just looks like a nice package.
Still not downloading anything though. Just can't be bothered more than anything at this point. Even though there are some things they've made available themselves I'd like to get.
Knowing you to be a 60's man, if you want to recommend something feel free. I love that era too.

I just didn't like the insults. People feel free to behave in the most appalling ways on line. But I do miss here and I will be here more frequently in future.
Cheers!
